Hope you all are still enjoying spring time! Are any of you experiencing April Showers? If you are, then you know that May brings Flowers!

But I have flowers year round. It helps living in sunny California! So this week I have started back on my low carb, low sugar craze! It used to be no carb and no sugar, which I could only do for so long. I have been eating many fresh fruits and vegetables. As we all age, it is important to nourish our bodies, and we must be mindful of what we put in our bodies.

I choose to stock up on the best fresh fruits and vegetables available to me. I look for organic, non-gmo, and local as much as possible. Fortunately, the Sacramento area has a big farm to fork community. Also this week, I have been thoroughly enjoying my mango salads. I really stocked up!

I even found non gmo green papaya at whole foods. I was very pleased to see that. I wish they would bring more international produce. I have to say my papaya salads have been tasting better and better because of the finest ingredients I am able to find. My newest fresh ingredient is the brown tomato.

It made my papaya more delicious. My spicy papaya salad is in perfect balance of savory, sweet, sour, crunchy, spicy, and fresh. This combination of spicy salad has been a new favorite of mine this week. As you may know with me, its never the same thum twice. I am always making new things, finding new flavors, and seeking new adventures.

So in closing, I want to remind you to take care of yourself and your family. We want to live long, live well, and thrive, because we are only here for a short while. Eat fresh as best you can. Begin with stocking up your fridge with your favorite fruits and vegetables. When you are feeling hungry, just reach into your fridge and you will pick out something healthy.

It is as simple as that. But I know it's not always easy to eat healthy all the time. I struggle with that every day. From Tam Tam to you, keep it fresh, keep it exciting, keep it adventurous, but most of all, keep it Tam Tam! Until next time, Peace, Love, & Tamarind!!
